Sawing out the old cabinets

Removing cabinets

These cabinets (at top) needed to come out, giving me much more space to work with.

Cabinet plug

The cabinets were wired with four 120vAC plugs, using 14/2 wire. I never did figure out where the AC connection was to supply these plugs.

Circuit breaker box

The plugs were wired to two 20 amp circuit breakers in this box. I had to tear out all the 14/2 wire and this box. At least the existence of this box saved me a little money later on.

Left cabinets partially sawed

The left hand cabinets were relatively easy to saw out-just cut at the tops and half the work was done.

The left cabinet bottom

This hard wood in the bottoms gave me some trouble-I had to buy a special saw blade to chop it out.

Cabinet caps

This is what was in the end caps. I had to have my uncle saw the caps out due to their position next to the green steel reinforcing bars.
